    Abstract

    The purpose of the research are to know : 1) the students’ learning achievement using jigsaw and STAD models in the topics of Heat and Temperature, 2) the effect of the students’ interpersonal intelegence achievement during teaching and learning process, 3) the interaction between cooperative learning in Jigsaw and STAD with interpersonal intellegence to learning achievement in Temperature and Heat. The method used in the research is experiment method, where the population taken is all of students in grade X of SMAN I Teras year 2008/2009. The sample of the research is two classes with 79 students each. The sample is taken using cluster sampling. The data is collected by using : 1) questionare, 2) document, and 3) test. In collecting the data the writer uses multiple choise test. Before the instruments applied to the real class (students in SMAN I Teras), they were piloted in SMAN I Simo who have nearly the same level as to the ones in SMAN I Teras. To check the validity and the reability of the test, the writer uses Correlation Moment Product and KR-20 formulas. Further more to know the interpersonal intellegence of the students, the writer uses questionare. To test the Normality Lilliefors test is used, to test the Homogenity the writer uses Bartlet test and minitab pogram and by taking a= 0,050 it can be concluded that : 1) Sample comes from the population which has normal ditribution, 2) Sample comes from homogenous population. Form the data analysis using two way Anava with difference frecuency by taking a= 0,050, can be concluded that : 1) there is a significant difference to students learning achievement between students who taught using jigsaw and STAD model. It can be seen from the statistic test, where Fobs= 8,407 and Ftab = 4,080 or Fobs > Ftab, 2) there is a significant distinction to student’s achievement who have high, medium and low interpersonal intellegence.The students who have high interpersonal intellegence seemedto have better learning achievement than the ones who have lower interpersonal intellegence. It can be seen from the statistic test result, where Fobs= 12,397 and Ftab = 3,150 or Fobs > Ftab, 3) there is an interaction effect between Jigsaw and STAD models to the interpersonal intellegence the student’s achieved. It can be seen from the statistic test result, where Fobs= 5,999 and Ftab = 3,150 or Fobs > Ftab.
