    Abstract

    Dwi Watoyo S.M. NIM: S820907004. Correlation among Learning environment and Learning Interest and Academic Achievement in Accountancy Subject of Grade XI Social Science Program Students of SMA Negeri I Paninggaran Of Pekalongan Regency. Thesis. Post-Graduate Program of Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta, June 2008. Purpose of the research is to know: correlation among: (1) Learning environment and academic achievement in Accountancy subject of Grade XI Social Science Program Students of SMA Negeri I Paninggaran Pekalongan, (2) Correlation between learning interest and academic achievement in Accountancy subject of Grade XI Social Science Program Students of SMA Negeri I Paninggaran Pekalongan, (3) Correlation among learning environment and learning interest simultaneously and academic achievement in Accountancy subject of Grade XI Social Science Program Students of SMA Negeri I Paninggaran Pekalongan. The research uses a descriptive-quantitative method with correlational study approach. Population of the research is all 150 grade XI Social Science Program Students of SMA Negeri I Paninggaran Pekalongan in training and education year of 2007/2008. Thirty percents (30%) or 45 students of population is taken as research sample by using random sampling technique of lottery. Data is obtained by using questionnaire and documentation. Then, the data is analyzed by using multiple linear regression analysis. Based on data analysis and discussion, conclusions can be drawn as follows: (1) There was a positive correlation between learning environment and academic achievement in Accountancy subject of Grade XI Social Science Program Students of SMA Negeri I Paninggaran Pekalongan. It is indicated by results of calculation that obtain rcalculation>rtable or 0.30899>0.294; (2) There was a positive correlation between learning interest and academic achievement in Accountancy subject of Grade XI Social Science Program Students of SMA Negeri I Paninggaran Pekalongan. It can be seen from results of calculation that obtained rcalculation>rtable or 0.32868>0.294; (3) There was a positive correlation between learning environment and learning interest simultaneously and academic achievement in Accountancy subject of Grade XI Social Science Program Students of SMA Negeri I Paninggaran Pekalongan. It is indicated by results of calculation that obtained rcalculation>rtable or 0.4118>0.294 and to test significance or the results, F test was conducted with db=2 dan dk=43 and the result was Fcalculation>Ftable or 4.29>3.21 with a regression line equation Y=43.55+ 0.120X1+0.145X2
