    Abstract

    Bima Trustho Skar Utomo. H 0303064. 2007. “Analysis of Brown Sugar Marketing In Kulon Progo Regency. A Script which guides by Ir. Sugiharti Mulya Handayani, MP and Erlyna Wida Riptanti, SP, MP. Agriculture Faculty of Sebelas Maret University. The aim of this research are knowing the chanel pattern of brown sugar marketing; cost, benefit, and margin analysis; and also analizing brown sugar marketing eficiency in Kulon Progo. Basic method for this research are analitic deskriptif method and for implementation using survey research technic. The location reearch is selected by purposive, that is Kecamatan Kokap, Kulon Progo. Choosed based on Kulon Progo had high coconut production to proceed became brown sugar. Producent sampling method using judgement sampling and for seller use snowball sampling. The primary data and secondary data are used in this research. Data collected from interview and observation. The research shows that are three pattern of marketing chanel of brown sugar, 1st chanel: producent à grocier à piece seller à consumer. 2nd chanel: producent à grocier à big seller à urban consumers. And for 3rd chanel: producent à grocier à urban consumers. The 1st chanel used more often by the brown sugar producent that was 14 people, 2nd chanel used by 11 people and the 3rd chanel used by 5 people. Total benefit for 1st chanel Rp 160/kg, 2nd chanel Rp 126,2/kg and Rp 52,6/kg for the 3rd chanel. Total benefit for 1st chanel Rp 911,4/kg, Rp 828,3/kg for 2nd chanel and for the 3rd chanel Rp 907,4/kg. Marginal marketing for the 1st chanel in procentage of 14,3%, 2nd chanel 13,3% and 13,7% for 3rd chanel. Farmer’s share for the 1st chanel in procentage of 85,7%, 2nd chanel 86,7% and finally 86,3% for the 3rd chanel. The 2nd chane lis the most eficient than 1st and 3rd chanel because the 2nd have lowest marginal marketing and highest farmer’s share value Key Word : Margin, Cost, profit and Marketing Eficiency
