    Abstract

    The background of this research is the omition of Secondary Level of Health Analyst Workers (SMAK) as stated in the Regulation of The Health Ministry of The Indonesian Republic: 750/Menkes/Per/VI/1998, act 24 on the Diploma education Indonesia Health, where the Secondary Level will then be conversed into Diploma level. The phenomenon right now is Secondary Level graduates are still demanded by market (as Health Analyst Workers in Clinical Laboratories). The aims for this research are (1) to know the difference on the influence in education level on the performance of health analyst workers who work in the clinical laboratory in Surakarta; (2) to know the difference on the influence of working motivation on the performance of health analyst workers who work in the clinical laboratory in Surakarta; (3) to know the difference on the influence in education level and the working motivation on the performance of health analyst workers who work in the clinical laboratory in Surakarta. The research is done in Clinical Laboratories that are in the area of Surakarta. A sampling of 41 people are taken from 70 population. The collection of data is got from questioners which have been through validity and reliability tests. The hypotehesis are tested using two ways Anova (Two ways Analysis of Variance). The conclusions of the research are: (1) variable of education level does not give different influence on the performance of health analyst workers who work in the clinical laboratory in Surakarta which is shown by F value of 2,456 on significance level of 0,126; (2); variable of working motivation gives different influence on the performance of health analyst workers who work in the clinical laboratory in Surakarta which is shown by F value of 6,376 on signifivance level of 0,016; (3) there is no joint effect between education levels and the working motivation on the performance of health analyst workers who work in the clinical laboratory in Surakarta which is shown by the F value of 1,324 on significance level of 0,257.
