    Abstract

    Adhi Bramasto Sasongko. EFFECTIVENESS OF LEARNING THE TYPE OF STUDY RESULTS JIGSAW PHYSICS OF THE INTERESTS OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR STUDENT LEARNING 2009/2010. Thesis, Surakarta, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University Sebelas Maret, Surakarta 2009. The purposes of this research to know there are or there are not: (1) The difference of influence between using cooperative learning model of Jigsaw type with the conventional learning model (lecture) on the cognitive abilities of students of physics, (2) The differences influence students interest in the high category, the category of medium and low categories on the ability cognitive physics students, (3) The interaction effect between using of models of learning and interest in learning physics students to the cognitive abilities of students. The research population was all students of X class of even semester, SMA Negeri 1 Karangpandan, Academic Year 2008/2009. Sampling done in Cluster Random Sampling, where the samples used were two classes, one class as an experimental class of the class X-8 with the number of students 40 people, and one class as the control class is the class X-6 with the number of students 40 people. Technique of data collecting is done by the method of documentation, methods of questionnaire, and testing methods. Analysis of the data in this research using two-way analysis of variance with equal cell frequencies and further tests conducted Scheffe test. From the research, it can be concluded that: (1) Physics students cognitive ability that was subjected cooperative learning model of Jigsaw type is better than the cognitive abilities of students learning physics using conventional model (Fobs > Ftab ie 4.753 > 3.972), (2) Interest in learning Physics students' high category, the category of medium and low category have an influence on student learning outcomes Physics (Fobs> Ftabie 6.420 > 3.122), (3) There is no interaction between models of learning and interest in learning to cognitive ability physics students (Fobs< Ftabyaitu 0,368 < 3,122).
