The curriculum-establishing team comprises of the elements from school and school committee under the coordination of the Regency Education Service Bureau. The learning planning of Integrated Social Sciences is set up by using the integrated learning model of the spider web (webbed)type or thematic type. The learning planning/design of Integrated Social Sciences is conducted by all Social Sciences teachers through the Subject Teacher Meeting Forum. The sequence of its activities includes among others the mapping of competence standard and basic competence which can be integrated in the same class level; the determination of topic/theme which is based on the mapping result of competence standard and basic competence; indicator formulation; syllabus development; and the learning design/lesson plan of Integrated Social Sciences. Generally the learning implementation of Integrated Social Sciences goes on effectively. This is seen from the active role of the students in the learning, the method in use, the technique in use, the selection of the right media/means, and also the output expected from the learning of Integrated Social Sciences which goes through an increase. 2) The obstacles/constraints in Implementation of Integrated Social Sciences Learning are among others: (a) the background of Social Sciences teachers, (b) that not all students are interested in the Social Sciences subject yet, (c) the limitation in learning media/means, and (d) the instructional material which has not reflected the integrity among the branches of Social Sciences. Such learning effectiveness is in proportion to the learning success. This can be achieved when the learning design, process, and evaluation run well. On the basis of these research findings the importance of increasing teachers’ professional ability in the learning of Integrated Social Sciences is suggested. In addition, the school principals are expected to be able to straighten out the culture of their own school as part of the understanding toward integrated learning model for the Social Sciences teachers and learning participants as well as the instructional material and the learning means and infrastructure, in which weaknesses have become the obstacles in learning as entrusted in the learning pattern according to the curriculum of the school.
