    Abstract

    The aims of this classroom action research are: To know the increasing of essay writing skill with cooperative teaching model for third grade students of SD Negeri 3 Urutsewu, Ampel, Boyolali. This research is classroom action research with three cycles. Every cycle consists of four phases, namely planning, conducting, observing, analysis and reflecting. The subject of this research is third grade students of SD Negeri 3 Urutsewu, Ampel, Boyolali. The objects are using essay writing skill with cooperative teaching model. The techniques of collecting data are done by observation, test and documents. The test are done by collecting the data as far as an essay writing skill and documents are every proff of the lesson which have been done. Based from the result can be concluded that essay writing skill quality increas with cooperative teaching model for third grade SD Negeri 3 Urutsewu, Ampel, Boyolali. It can be check from the indicators as follows: (1) improve of essay writing activity. From the I, II and III cycle of 42 students there is enhanced from 28 students (67%) to 30 students (71%), and from the III cycle improves to 32 students (76%). (2) Based on the evaluation result of I, II and III cycle increased average score from 54 to 68, and from the third cycle improve to 76. Thus, can be proposed a recommendation that with cooperative teaching model increasing of essay writing skill of third grade of SD Negeri 3 Urutsewu, Ampel, Boyolali in 2010 Academic Year.
