    Abstract

    Agus Suyamto. NIM. S880208015, 2009. Raising Learning Interest and Achievement in Studying Sience Phenomenas through observation to the Students of Pancasila High Technical School of Surakarta by Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model, Thesis. Post-graduate Work in Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. This research is aimed for solving a real problem which arises in the researcher's own working field. The problem which is discussed in this research is low interest and low achievement in studying to Sience phenomenas through observation of the students grade X 1MO2 of Pancasila High Technical School Surakarta. This research is intended for solving the problems faced by the students by giving certain actions. Method used in this research is Class Action Research Method which contains a discussion of four steps, it begins with planning action, going into action, observing action, and reflecting. The four steps above will forma cycle. This research has collaborative characteristic, it means that the researcher involved collaborators to cooperate in identifyng problems, composing a plan, going into action, observing, reflecting. In analyzing data, this research obtains two technicues. They are critical analysis descriptive and quantitative descriptive. The result of research show that : first, learning by Jigsaw cooperative model is really able to raise interest in studying to Sience Phenomenas through observation of the students. The students whose intereset in studying previously were 23% have increased into 80%. Second, leaning by Jigsaw cooperative model is able to raise the students studying achievement that at the beginning their mastery was 27% has increased into 77%. Third, learning by Jigsaw cooperative model brings some changes on students. It makes all students have learning responsibility, they are brave to express their opinion, they
