    Abstract

Parjiyono, S. 8010707009, Correlation of Family factor and social environment to IX class Study Achievement in SMP Negeri 4 Kudus, Tesis. Program Pascasarjana Universitas Sebelas Maret Aims or this research are (1) to analyze correlation of family factor to IX class student study achievement in SMP Negeri 4 Kudus partially; (2) to analyze correlation of social environment to IX class student study achievement in SMP Negeri 4 Kudus; (3) to analyze correlation of family and social environment factor to IX class student study achievement in SMP Negeri 4 Kudus simultantly. Location research taken by researcher is in SMP Negeri 4 Kudus. This research is expostfacto research (after the fact), is a research which an independent variables has been done when researcher started with dependent variable in a research. Population in this research are entire of IX SMP Negeri 4 Kudus students amount of 240 persons. Sample in this research are 3 classess, 1 class for validity and reliability test and the another classes for data analysis test and each class consists of 36 students. Instrument test by using validity and reliability test. Hypothesis test by using double linear regretion analysis, accuracy parameter test (t test), mode accuracy test (f test and determination coefficient test). Clasic asumption test by using autocorrelation test, heteroskedastisitas test, and multikoliniaritas test. Results research are: (1) Family factor correlate to students study achievement. Correlation coeficient result for both correlations variable as 0,534, e from this correlation value could be appraised in determination coefficient as 0,285. Effective value in family factor as 28,5%. T test is used for significant test. Because of t count value is in deduction area or 5,285 > 1,666 so Ho is declined and the consequently Ha is accepted or can be conclude that there is a positive correlation between family factor variable and study achievement variable is true. It means that the higher family factor, the higher student study achievement. (2) Social environment correlatied to student study achievement. Correlation coeficient value for both variables are 0,760, from that correlation can be appraised in determination coefficient as 0,577. Effective value ini social environment variables as 33,8%. T test is used for significant test. Because t count is in deduction Ho area or 9,778 > 1,666 so Ho is declined and concequently Ha is accepted, or can be concluded that there is a positive correlation between social environment variable and study achievement variable is true. It means that the higher social environment, the higher student study achievement. (3) family and social environment factor correlation together to student study achievemnet. Correlation coefficient result for both independent variables and dependent variable is 0,779, from that correlation can be appraised that determination coefficient as 0,607. This value can be interpreted that 60,7% variations in study achievement variable can be predicted by family factor varibale and social environment variable. “Y” regression equation is Y = 1,369 + 0,201X1 + 0,658X2. Meanings test by using F test as Fcount = 53,350 > 3,13. Hypotesis which says that there is a correlation between positive Family Factor and Social Environment together with student study achievement is proved true. Keyword: Family factor, Social Environment, and Study Achievement.
