    Abstract

    Neni Pujiwati. S 810207010. The apply of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach in reading speech script technique: A Classroom Action Research SMP Negei I Kalimanah Thesis Pascasarjana programme UNS Surakarta. The purpose of this research is to describe and inform the apply of Contextual Teaching and Learning reading speech script technique. This research is classroom action research, that is held in the classroom by increasing the teaching process. The location of this research is grade IXA SMP Negeri I Kalimanah. This research is collaborative classroom action research that held in three cyclus. Each cyclus consists of four steps, they are planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The result of reflecting used as the basic in arranging the next steps. In reading speech script technique with Contextual Teaching and Learning approach, the problem in teaching and learning process can be solved. The speech indication can be achieved. The average score before acting is 65 the fix average score is 70 and the result score in language factor is 89,91 non language factor is 79,50 with percentage at first cyclus language aspect is 65 % non language 59 % second cyclus for language factor is 73,16 % non language 70,56 % third cyclus language factor is 90 % and non language is 89 % The factor that increase student ability in speech is the applied of Contextual Teaching and Learning approach with 7 main component, they are constructivism, inquiry,question, learning community, modeling, reflecting, and authentic assessement. The result of this research are: (1) teaching and learning process has been variated. (2) student can give speech based on the indicator given. (3) Teaching and learning process by applying 7 main components. Contextual Teaching and Learning approach give positive effect in learning process. 19 So the hypothesis that by applying Contextual Teaching and Learning approach in reading speech script technique can increase in SMP Negeri I Kalimanah has been valid.
