    Abstract

    Mulato Budi Santoso, Student Number S880208016, 2009. The Raising of Students’ Interest and Study Achievement to the Subject of Social Studies of Geography by Using Super Learning Method in SMP Pandanaran, Thesis. Post-graduate Work Program in Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. The research aimed discussed in this research is that the interest and the study achievement of the students class VII at SMP Pandanaran are very low. This research is aimed to: (1) know the raising of students’ study interest told the subject of social studies of geography by using super learning method; and (2) know the raising of students study achievement to the subject of social duties of geography by using super learning method. The research method used is the method of classroom Action Research. Which includes four stages, started from planning the action, performing the action, observing, and reflection. The four steps form a cycle. The outline of the research applied is the outline which is according to Kemmis & Taggart. This research is collaborative, the researcher involves as the class teacher of VII cooperates with his colleagues to identify the problem, to compose the plan, to perform the action, and to do a reflection. The subjects of the research are the students class VII at SMP Pandanaran. The data collected are interest, study achievement, and situation of the learning activities. The techniques used to collect the data are observation, interview, document analysis, and test. This research is analyzed critically, analytically, by describing the data finding and comparing with the determined indicator. The research results show that: First, the learning by using super learning method can raise the students’ study interest to the subject of social studies of geography of class VII SMP Pandanaran in the academic year of 2007/2008. based on the students study interest, there has been the raising from the aspect of attention from 91% becomes 99,3%, from the aspect of spirit from 13,32% becomes 70%, from the aspect of dilligence from 97,7% becomes 100%, and from aspect of sacrisfice from 60% becomes 98,3%. Based on the students study achievement there has been a raising of the class average score from 55,7 becomes 71,7.
