    Abstract

    This research aims to obtain a description about the activity the Solo Grand Mall’s Personnel Division does as the Internal Public Relations. This study was a descriptive research, that is, the one describing objectively a condition or event that only reveals the fact. The writer only wanted to find out how the activity of SGM’s personnel division as the Internal Public Relations. The sample was taken using purposive sampling technique, that is, to choose the certain persons according to the purpose and objective. In this case, the writer took the employees of Solo Grand Mall as the sample because they, as the recipient of the Internal Public Relations’ activity, have their own perception on such activities. The result of research shows that the employees’ perception of the role of Solo Grand Mall’s Personnel Division as Internal Public Relations is good. This is because the employees’ activities done by the personnel division really helps the employees in undertaking their daily duty. The employees give the confidence and quality of work as well as possible to the company. Based on the research conducted it can be explained briefly that Solo Grand Mall’s Personnel Division serves two functions: staffing administration and internal public relations that are closely related to the establishment of company’s positive image among the employees. The internal public relations are manifested in a series of activities involving all employees of Solo Grand Mall. The positive response the respondents give to the role of Personnel Manager as the Internal Public Relations is a good input for Solo Grand Mall in order to maximize the function of Public Relations Department and it is expected to be used to develop a better Solo Grand Mall in the future.
