    Abstract

    The purpose of the research are to find out: (1). the effect of project and recitation methods toward learning achievement, (2). the effect students thinking style toward learning achievement, (3). the effect student creativity toward learning achievement, (4). the interaction between learning methods and the students thinking style of learning science, (5). interaction between learning methods and student creativity of learning science, (6). the interaction between the students thinking style and student creativity of learning achievement and (7). the interaction among learning methods, student thinking style and student creativity of learning science. The population of the research was the student of Grade VIII Prembun State Junior High School 1 academic year 2009 / 2010. The Sample consisted of four classes, that were class VIII A, B treated using project method and class VIII C, D using recitation method. The determination of sample used Cluster random sampling. The data was collected through questionere for student thinking style and creativity and test for student achievement.The data was analized using ANOVA with 2 x 2 x 2 factorial design and continued using ANOM. From the data analysis can be concluded that: (1). there is no effect of project and recitation method to the learning achievement of science, (p-value = 0,645); (2). there is no effect of student thinking style toward student achievement of science, (p value = 0,687); (3). there is an effect of student creativity toward student learning achievement of science at the energy and work, (p-value = 0,000). So the achievement of the students creativity give different effect to achieve the science learning achievement, where the students who have high achievement of student creativity get the average of their achievement high too, while the students who have low student creativity ability get low achievement. (4). there is no interaction between learning methods and student thinking style toward student achievement of science, (p-value = 0,083); (5). there is no interaction between learning methods with student creativity in the learning achievement of science, (p-value = 0,636); (6). there is no interaction between student thinking style and student creativity to the student achievement, (p-value = 0,700); (7) there is no interaction among learning methods, student thinking style, and student creativity to the learning achievement, (p-value = 0,028). So there are no interaction among learning methods, student thinking style and student creativity to the learning achievement of science. All the students who have high or low achievement give positive responses to the using of project method and recitation method.
