    Abstract

    The aimsof this research are to find out : (1) the effect difference between implementation of cooperative learning model’s Jigsaw type, Group Investigation(GI) type, and convensional model’s on thelearning achievement of Biology, (2) the effect difference between high and low student’sachivement motivation on thelearning achievement of Biology, (3) the effect interaction between implementation of cooperative learning model’s and student’s achievement motivation on the learning achievement of Biology The research was in the Senior High School in the Kudus District academic year 2008/2009. The research method used is experiment method with a 3x2 factorial design. The population of the research is students at the tenth grade Senior High School in the Kudus District.The samples of research consist of120 students. Instrument used for collecting data are achievement test of Biology and the quistionnaires of achievement motivation. To get appropriate and accuracy of the Biology achievement test and the quistionnaires of achievement motivation, the instrument are tested withvalidity and reliability test. Technique of Product Moment from Pearson is used to find out the validity and split two half technique from Spearmen-Brownis to find out the reliability. Meanwhile, Alpha formula is used to find out the reliability of the quistionaires of the achievement motivation. Thetechnique of Analysis used is Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with significance level of α = 0,05. The result of the research are as follows : (1) there is a significant difference in effect of implementation of cooperative learning model’s Jigsaw and Group Investigation(GI) type on students learning achievement of Biology (Fh> Ft, 0,05 = 40,40 > 3,09), (2) there is a significant difference in effect of students achievement motivation on students learning achievement of Biology (Fh> Ft. 0,05 = 205,64 > 3,94), (3) ) there is a significant interaction ofeffect implementation of cooperative learning model’s (Jigsaw and Group Investigation(GI) type) and students achievement motivation on students learning achievement of Biology (Fh > Ft, 0,05 = 4,39 > 3,09). Based on those findings, the research concludes that learning achievement of Biology can be increased throught learning models and improving the student’s achievement motivation. The improving of learningquality is able to achieved through the use of cooperative learning model’s Jigsaw and GI type and by payattention to the student’s achievement motivation.
