## Abstract

Intention of this research is to know: ( i) what mathematics study by using method of study of problem solving yield the achievement learn the better mathematics compared to use the method ekspositori, ( 2) what activity learn the superordinate yield the achievement learn the better mathematics compared by]a activity learn the lower mathematics at radian discussion fundamental, ( 3) there is do not it him interaction of between study method with the activity learn the student to achievement learn the mathematics at radian discussion fundamental. This research is including sham research eksperimental. Population is all student of class of VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta of school year 2006 / 2007 amounting to 175 which is divided become 5 class. Sampel taken by using technique of cluster random sampling, chosen as a group experiment is class of VIII A of counted 38 student and as a group control is class of VIII B of counted 35 student of Technique of data collecting used by is]documentation method to to to obtain;get the data assess the Test of Semester Mathematics 1 , enquette method for the data of activity learn the mathematics of student and method tes for the data of achievement learn the student mathematics at fundamental sub of Radian discussion. Analysis Technique used by analysis variansi ( Anava) two road;street with the cell do not be same. Besides analysis variansi, used also two other data analysis that is, test t used to test the mean equality between group of experiment and group control the, method of Lilliefors and method Bartlett used to test the conditions analyse that is normalitas and homogeneity. From inferential research result that: ( i) usage of method of study of problem solving at radian discussion fundamental yield the achievement learn the mathematics which better than method of study ekspositori ( Fobs = 23,2445 > 3,9907 = Ftabel), ( ii) of all activity category learn the student give the same effect to achievement learn the student mathematics ( Fobs = 1,2012 < 3,1407 = Ftabel), ( iii) Not there are interaction between method of study and activity learn the student mathematics hoped by a achievement learn the student mathematics at radian discussion fundamental ( Fobs = 2,5559 < 3,1407 = Ftabel).
