    Abstract

    Ratam (S.8602082014) The Effect of Active, Effective and Pleasuring (PAKEM) Method and Learning Motivation to Mastery Learning of Social Science of History for Elementary School Students in Karanganyar, Purbalingga Regency. Tesis. Surakarta : Post Bachelor of SebelasMaret University Surakarta (2009). The aims of this research are know : 1). The effect of PAKEM method to mastery learning of social science of history. 2). The effect of learning motivation of student to mastery learning of social science of history. 3).The effect of PAKEM method and learning motivation of student to mastery learning of social science of history. This research was done to all of student of elementary school in Karanganyar, Purbalingga regency. It consists of 19 Elementary School (3267 students). The method of this research took multi stage random sampling. The steps are : 1). Choose two schools that have the same level ( SD N 1 Karanganyar and SD N 2 Banjarkerta). 2). Choose the same grade (the fifth grade). It this considered because thestudents of this grade got a lot of time to learn social science of history. This research used experimental method. The data getting especially application of PAKEM method, Learning motivation and mastery learning social science of history then be analyzed by anava two ways. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded : 1) There is different effect of learning method to mastery learning of social science of history. PAKEM method is more effective than conventional method. The students average got (79,29) in mastery learning by PAKEM method better than the students average got (59,63) in mastery learning by conventional method. 2) There is different of effect learning motivation to mastery learning social science of history. The students average who had high motivation got (80,66) better than the students who had low motivation (58,26). 3) There is no effect of interaction between teaching method and learning motivation to mastery learning of social science of history.
