    Abstract

The purpose of this study to determining: (1) the difference of massed practice method and distributed practice method on the table tennis driving skill. (2) the difference of high speed level of hand reaction, and low speed level of hand reaction movement toward the table tennis driving skill. (3) the interaction effect between practice method and speed level of hand reaction movement on the table tennis driving skill. The research used experiment method with factorial design 2x2 the total number of sample was 40 students came from the member of table tennis extracurricular at SMK Negeri 1 Trucuk 2009/2010 academic year. The research variable consists of two factors, manipulative and attributive. The manipulative variable consists of massed practice and distributed practice. The attributive variable consists of a sample group with the high and low speed level of hand reaction movement, and for dependence variable the table tennis driving skill. Samples are taken with purposive sampling technique. Analysis techniques used are analysis of variance (ANAVA) at the level of significance . The results are as follows: (1) there is a significant difference of massed practice and distributed practice on the table tennis driving skill, (F0= 4,46 > Ft 0,05= 4,41) where massed practice better than distributed practice. (2) There is a significant difference of high and low level speed of hand reaction movement toward the table tennis driving skill, (F0= 6,67 > Ft 0,05 = 4,11) where high level speed of hand reaction movement better than the low ones. (3) There is interaction between massed practice and distributed practice with speed level of hand reaction movement on the table tennis driving skill, (F0= 9,72 > Ft 0,05 = 4,11).
