    Abstract

    L.G. Sarmadi, S 840208111, 2009. Structuralism and The Study of Educative Value in Folklore Klaten Regency. Thesis. Surakarta: Indonesian Education Program, Postgraduate Program Sebelas Maret University. The objective of this research is (1) describe your type of folklore Klaten Regency, (2) describe your structure folklore Klaten Regency, and (3) describe your education value of the folklore Klaten Regency. The decription of folklore literatures structure consists of theme, plot, actor, setting, and message. Meanwhile, the educative values are described into moral educative value, custom educative value, religion educative value, historical educative value, and heroic educative value. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Information from this research has been described in precise and analytical. The strategy usedwas a single case study conducted at a target (the subject) and one characteristic, namely folklore Klaten Regency. Research data collected through several sources, namely informants, physical objects and documents. Data collection techniques used through direct observation, recording, interviewing, recording, and analysis of documents. Snippets techniques (sampling) that is purposively sampling is used. Data validation techniques that are used informant review. Data analysis techniques used are the analysis and structural analysis model interactive (interactive model of analysis). In this research there are five people Stories Klaten Regency gathered and analyzed. Five people in the story, ie: (1) “Ki Ageng Padang Aran”. (2) “ Petilasan Sunan Kalijaga”, (3) “ Raden Ngabehi Ranggawarsita”, (4) “Reyog Brijo Lor”, (5) “Kyai Ageng Gribig”. Folklore Klaten Regency is classified into more specific and legends can be classified into groups of local legends, legends of individuals, and religious legends. Content and theme of folklore Klaten Regency is Syiar Religion, the struggle of a figure, and the occurrence of a place. Flow of the story flow is used, or straight ahead. The dominant figure in the folklore Klaten Regency man is described as a man who has sacred and good character. The most dominant background is the background. Mandate contained in the folklore Klaten Regency vary. Value of education that there are people in the story Klaten Regency, is the value of moral education, values education tradition, the value of religious education, historical educative value, and heroic educative value
