    Abstract

Thesis: Science Education Program, Postgraduate Program Surakarta Sebelas Maret University. Advisor I: Prof. Dr. H. Widha Sunarno, M. Pd. Advisor I: Dra. Soeparmi, M.A, Ph.D. The purpose of this research are to find out 1) the effect of Experiment and Demonstration methods student’s achievement, 2) the effect of student’s scientific attitude to physics learning achievement, 3) the effect of student’s creativity to physics learning achievement, 4) interaction of learning method and scientific attitude to physics learning achievement, 5) interaction of learning method and creativity to physics learning achievement, 6) interaction of scientific attitude and creativity to physics learning achievement, 7) interaction of learning method, scientific attitude and creativity to physics learning achievement. This research was conducted in December 2009 – Mei 2010 and used Experiment and Demonstration methods. Population in this research was all of students in grade X, consisted of ten class state I Senior High School Pati year 2009/2010. Sample of this research consisted of four classes which was taken using cluster random sampling. The classes treated using experiment method were class X-1 and X-3 and The classes treated using demonstration method were class X-6 and X-7. The date was collected using test method for student achievement and questionnaire and observation sheets for student’s scientific attitude and creativity. The research hypothesis were tested using Anova with 2x2x2, factorial design with different cell size and calculated using MINITAB 15. The date analysis show that: 1) there is effect of Experiment and Demonstration to physics learning achievement, experiment method better than demonstration method (pvalue = 0,000 < 0,050), 2) there is effect of scientific attitude to physics learning achievement, the students who have the high scientific attitude are better in learning achievement than the students who have the lower scientific attitude (p-value = 0,000 < 0,050, 3) there is effect of creativity to physics learning achievement, the students who have the high creativity are better the learning achievement than the students who have the lower creativity (p-value 0,000 < 0,050), 4) there is not interaction of learning method and scientific attitude to physics learning achievement (p-value = 0,433 > 0,050), 5) there is not interaction of learning method and creativity to physics learning achievement (pvalue = 0,251 > 0,050), 6) there is not interaction of scientific attitude and creativity to physics learning achievement (p-value = 0,180 > 0,050), 7) there is interaction of learning method, scientific attitude and creativity to physics learning achievement (pvalue = 0,018 < 0,050).
