    Abstract

    Latar belakang: Kanker serviks uteri sebagai penyebab kematian terbesar pada wanita di negara berkembang. Tanaman obat sering digunakan sebagai alternatif terapi penyakit kanker. Bawang Dayak (Eleutherine palmifolia L., Merr) telah digunakan secara empiris sebagai obat anti kanker tanpa didasari bukti ilmiah. Tujuan: Mempelajari pengaruh fraksi etanolik ekstrak bawang dayak (Eleutherine palmifolia L., Merr) terhadap tingkat ekspresi Cyclin-E galur sel kanker serviks uteri HeLa (HPV High Risk type) secara in vitro. Metode: Dilakukan penelitian eksperimental biomedik dengan pendekatan post-test only control group design. Dilaksanakan pada galur sel kanker serviks uteri HeLa (HPV High Risk type) dengan satu kontrol positif tanpa perlakuan, satu kontrol negatif dengan perlakuan menggunakan Cisplatinum dan tiga kelompok dengan masing-masing diberi perlakuan dengan tiga konsentrasi berbeda di bawah LC50. Sel yang mengekspresikan Cyclin-E dihitung dengan bentuk prosentase dan diuji dengan uji statistik regresi korelasi linier. Hasil: Analisis regresi korelasi linier menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh tingkat ekspresi Cyclin-E dengan p = 0,000 dan R = 0,991. Kesimpulan: Disimpulkan bahwa fraksi etanolik ekstrak bawang dayak (Eleutherine palmifolia L., Merr) dapat menurunkan tingkat ekspresi Cyclin-E sel kanker serviks uteri HeLa (HPV High Risk type) secara signifikan. Kata kunci: Kanker serviks, bawang dayak, Cyclin-E Background: Cervical cancer is the greatest cause of death among women in the developing countries. Herbs are often used as an alternative therapy for cancer. Dayak garlic (Eleutherine palmifolia L., Merr) has empirically in use as anti cancer remedy without being underline with a scientific proof. Objetive: Studying the influence of dayak garlic extract etanolik fraction to the expression level Cyclin-E cancerous cell of uterin cervix HeLa (HPV High Risk type) in the laboratory (in vitro). Method: A biomedical experimental research is done with an approach of post test only control group design. It is done to the uterin cervix cancerous cell HeLa (HPV High Risk type) with one positive control without treatment, one negative control with treatment by using Cisplatinum entry groups in which each is given treatment by using three different consentration below LC50. The cells which express Cyclin-E are counted in the form of presentage and examinet with linier correlation regression statistic examination. Result: The linier correlation regression statistic analysis shows that there is an influence of Cyclin-E expression level with p = 0.000 and R = 0.991. Conclusion: It is concluded that dayak garlic extract ethanolic fraction (Eleutherine palmifolia L., Merr) is able to lower the expression level of Cyclin-E uterin cervix cancerous cells HeLa (HPV High Risk type) significantly.
