    Abstract

    The purpose of this study was to determine whether the application of learning to type Brainstorming Quantum Learning model can improve the competency study accounting in the class X Akintansi SMK Bina Mandiri Indonesia Surakarta School Year 2010/2011. This study uses a method Classroom Action Research (PTK) carried out by two cycles where each cycle through the four stages, namely: (1) action planning, (2) implementation of the action, (3) observation of action, and (4) reflection action. Research subject is the entire class X Accounting SMK Bina Mandiri Indonesia Surakarta School Year 2010/2011 as many as 20 students with all the female-dominated. The research was conducted with the collaboration between researchers, classroom teachers and involve student participation. Data collection techniques using the observation sheet, test instruments, interviews, and documentation. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of Quantum Learning model type of brainstorming can increase the competence of learning of accounting students in class X Accounting SMK Bina Mandiri Indonesia Surakarta School Year 2010/2011. This was proved by the facts as follows: (1) cognitive aspects of students in the following activities have increased in pre cycle by 55% to 75% in cycle I and cycle II by 90%, (2) Affective Aspects of students in participating in activities learning also increased from 63.33% in pre-cycle to 76.67% in cycles I and II cycles by 85%, (3) Aspects of psychomotor learning students also experienced an increase in pre-cycle is at 60.83%, I cycle for 73.33%, and cycle II still remains at 81.67%.
