    Abstract

    The research was conducted with the aim to improve the quality of teaching shot-put style sideways through play approach. Marked with the attitude of students in learning and following the increase in test performance or the value of learning. This research is using the Research Methods Class Actions (Classroom Action Research) amounted to 40 students consisted of 20 male students and 20 female students. Meeting in the study carried out two times and each meeting showing developmental stages of learning the process of physical education with material shot-put. Subjects were elementary school students Negeri 2 Pucang class VI in the second semester of the academic year 2010/2011. The instrument used for data retrieval in this study were questionnaire, observation, and tests students' performance. Analysis of the data used in this research is descriptive analysis. Based on the results of research showed that administration of physical education play in learning the material Shot Put sideways force can increase student learning outcomes, student enthusiasm, enthusiastic students, the classroom atmosphere is fun and better value for yield enhancement and get increasing. At the cycle I shot-put emphasis on learning techniques reject basic bullets sideways force is accompanied by the relevant game. At the end of the meeting I held the cycle skill test by students in rejecting the bullet style sideway. The result of in the cycle I is 60% of class VI students has reached a value above the minimum criteria for completeness (KKM) or as many as 24 students had reached a value above KKM set, and as many as 16 students or 40% have not reached the standards set KKM. At the second meeting of the learning cycle to repel bullets sideways style is a reflection of the cycle is accompanied by additional material I shot-put style sideways and remain coupled with games that are relevant to the learning materials. Based on the results of the skills performed on the cycle II is known that the success rate in the second cycle increased to 80% or 32 students have achieved the KKM and there are still 20% of students who have not reached kels VI KKM value or as many as eight students have not reached a value that has been KKM set.
