    Abstract

    Concrete is the most usual component used on construction. An agresive environment was able to damage the concrete such as the coorrotion of steel rebar of concrete. Many methods were used to evaluate the rate of corrotion of steel rebar of concrete, one of them was Electronic Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). One of the models on EIS method was Modified Matsuoka Model. The aim of the research was to understand the influence of environment conditions and the concrete thickness on the rate of corrotion of concrete steel rebar. The rate of corrotion was represented by Warbung Impedance constant obtained from modified Matsuoka Model. A computer programming with matlab was developed from mathematical equations of total Impedance of electronical equivalent series model. This program was used to optimize the Warbung Impedance constant on varying concrete thickness and environment conditions.The results showed that the thicker the concrete the lower warbung constant that means the thicker the concrete the higher the corrotion protection of steel rebar. On every thickness of concrete the higher the NaCl concentration the higher the rate of corrotion of steel rebar till a maximum rate of corrotion then it became lower.so, there was a value of NaCl concentration giving a lowest corrotion protection of steel rebar for every thickness of concrete.
