    Abstract

    Yayan Christian Nugroho, 2009, PROTOTYPE OBJECTS ALTIMETER DIGITAL BASEDON AT89S51MICROCONTROLLER. Program D3 Computer Science Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science University of Sebelas Maret Surakarta. Measurement of objectheight withmanuallysystemoften hasobstacle on speed and accuracy problems. The goal of this final project task is to make the processof measuring objectsheightcanbemore quickly and accurately. Making prototype altimeter digital objects it is usedDT-Sense ultrasonic sensors for distancemeasurement. Language used in microcontroller programmingis assemblerlanguage. The process of scanning the object that will be measured usedthe ultrasonic sensor which the results of scanning the object will be processed by IC AT89S51 andthencalculationsprocesswill be done so that the data obtained from the measurementgivesresults of digitalobjectsheight. Results of the measurement thenisdisplayedon the LCD display unit in milimeters. In the altimeter digital object that is created has four buttons, they areon / offbutton, calibrationbutton, startbutton, and resetbutton. Measurementof objectheightusing thisfinal project provides facility to bemore flexible with the calibration feature in which the maximum level can be changed as needed. The measurementresulthas theratio of toleranceaccuracy between1 milimeterup to 2 milimeter only.
