    Abstract

    Iin Widiatni Widyaningsih, A.110905004. 2008 Land use Change on Keduang Sub Watershed Evaluated from Hidrology Aspects. Thesis: The Postgraduate Program of Sebelas Maret Surakarta. Supervised by Ari Handono Ramelan and Meiyanto. The aim of this research are to analysis land use change in 1996 – 2006 period of Keduang sub watershed and to analysis the relationship between land use change with run off, discharge of river, erosion dan sedimentation rate. Land use and land cover maps in period of 1996 – 2006 were obtained from land sat images. Geographical Information System (GIS) was used in spatial analysis and other analysis techniques used in this research were growth-decay function, multiple correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. Spatial analysis result showed that the land use in Keduang sub watershed of period 1996 – 2006 has change: forest, coffee plantation, mixed plantation and bushes are decreasing, on the other hand settlement, rice field, non irrigated dry field and opened land are increasing. The largest increase occured on rice field as 3481 hectares with average rate of increasing is 5.25 % per annum. The largest decreasing in the current period is mixed plantation as 3777 hectares with average rate of decreasing is 5.25 % per annum. Then, the largest of average rate of increasing is opened land (34.10 % per annum) and the largest of average rate of decreasing is forest (6,11 % per annum ) Multiple correlation analysis result showed that forest, coffee plantation, mixed plantation dan bushes have a negative correlation with run off, discharge of river, erosion and sedimentation rate, while settlement, rice field, non irrigated dry field and opened land have a positive correlation. Multiple correlation and determination analysis of the land use variable (X) with run off (Y) resulted correlation coefficient (R) = 0.889 determination coefficient (R2) = 0.789 and from multiple regression analysis get regression model as Y = -107641.9 + 28.933 X1 +157.864 X2 + 37.352 X4 – 2.623 X8 Multiple correlation and determination analysis of the land use variable (X) with Discharge (Y) resulted correlation coefficient (R) = 0.902 determination coefficient (R2) = 0.814 and from multiple regression analysis get regression model as Y = -1315.585+ 0.358 X1 +1.783 X2 + 0.504 X4 – 0.09824 X8 Multiple correlation and determination analysis of the land use variable (X) with erosion rate (Y) resulted correlation coefficient (R) = 0.896 determination coefficient (R2) = 0.803 and from multiple regression analysis get regression model as Y = -18994.681 + 5.017 X1 + 123.588 X2 + 8.059 X4 – 2.466 X8 Multiple correlation and determination analysis of the land use variable (X) with sedimentation (Y) resulted correlation coefficient ( R) = 0.896 determination coefficient (R2) = 0.803 and from multiple regression analysis get regression model as Y = -1582.712 + 0.418 X1 + 1.965 X2 + 0.672 X4 – 0.206 X8
