    Abstract

    The purpose of this study were: (1) To know the Model Management Production Unit at SMK Negeri 2 Klaten (2) To know the factors - factors that hamper execution of Production Unit at SMK Negeri 2 Klaten (3) For know how that is done by managers in overcoming the Production Unit barriers - barriers. This research is a method that uses qualitative. Sources of data in this study was resource persons / informants, where or research sites, archives and documents. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data collection techniques were interviews, Direct Observation and Recording Documents. The validity of data using triangulation of data (source). Analysis of the data used in the form of analysis interactive. Based on the results of this study concluded: (1) Management unit production at SMK Negeri 2 Klaten are as follows: In the implementation of UP SMK Negeri 2 Klaten oriented to providing services, products and training. UP aspects include: (a) input, the form of human resources (HR), capital methods and facilities (b) Management functions include planning, organizing and controlling (c) Implementation of yield-oriented services, products and training (d) Marketing (e) Customer Service (f) Output, skilled workers and ready to use in industry, as well as producing products or services that are salable and trainees have the skills (skills) which can be applied to industrial world. (2) factors - factors that manghambat implementation of the Production Unit at SMK Negeri 2 Klaten are as follows: (a) The execution, production units in the smk is still relatively less (b) Curriculum learning in schools (c) Limitations tool (d) Competition with industry (e) Relationshi with market or consumer, there are some cases that make relationship between production units and consumers smk be not good. (3) How overcoming obstacles - obstacles in the implementation of Production Unit at SMK Negeri 2 Klaten are as follows: (a) Ensuring that the implementation time UP with KBM process does not run concurrently. (B) The school seeks to develop educational curriculum that is felt appropriate to the needs of the industry. (C) Improving the implementation of maintenance tools for the tool used to work optimally. In addition, the CMS trying to buy equipment or trying to get grants from institutions related equipment (d) Ensuring the best possible product for UP is no less competitive with products industry both in quality and price (e) The school has given best possible services to consumers for established relationships good between the school with the industry.
