    Abstract

The objective research is to know : (1) The differentiation between the effect of cooperative VCD and Picture mediated learning toward achieving economic learning competence of MAN’s second semester of XIth Grade student (2) The differentiation effect of study habit toward achieving economic learning competence of MAN’s second semester of XIth grade student and (3) Interaction between the effect of cooperative VCD and picture mediated learning application with student’s study habit toward achieving economic learning competence of MAN’s second semester of XIth grade student. This research uses quantitative method with Experimental Approach and 2 x 2 factorial planning and descriptively analysis data presentation. The population is XIth grade student of MAN’s 1 and 2 Surakarta. The sampling choosing technique uses purposive random cluster sampling technique. Includes 75 students which consist of 40 students for the experimenting and 35 students as a control group. Meanhile, the data collecting technique used questionnaire and test techniques. The data analysis technique used Two ways Variance Analysis technique (ANAVA). Before is analyzed, validity test is done with correlation to moment product and reliability using Cronbach Alpha. The result shows that all research variables are valid and reliable before hypothesis is done. The hypothesis test result shows : (1) There is differentiation between Economic learning competence among those who study and cooperative VCD and Picture mediated learning approach. The Cooperative VCD Mediated learning approach generates better economic learning competence compared to the picture mediated one. It is proved from F calculation cost = 6,159 > F table( = 0.05) = 3,11. The result of economic competence test for students who is taught with the Cooperative VCD mediated learning is better than the Picture Mediated one, (2) There is the differentiation of economic learning competence among those whose study habit is normative high and low. Student whose study habit is normative high has better economic learning competence than those whose student study habit is normative low. It is proved F calculation cost = 83.778 > F table = 3,11. The Economic competence of student whose study habit is normative high is better than those whose study habit is normative low. (3) There is interaction of the influence between study habit learning Approach and economic learning competence. it is proved from the test result obtained from F calculation cost= 18,475 > F table = 3,11. The finding assert theories of cooperative learning especially those using VCD and Picture Media. Cooperative VCD Mediated approach provides profit to develop the student’s basic knowledge and skill. By this approach, it is hoped that teacher can be able to : (1) Guide student to understand the new material meaning in learning ; (2) attract the students by using a teaching learning method which is appropriate with the study and being related to the daily activities and, (3) Motivate the student to become more active and creative so that they will be able to think scientifically and able to discover the Economic concept itself.
