    Noni (Morindra citrifolia L.) originates from Indonesia that has many benefits. One of them is its antibacterial activity. The purpose of this research is to know the antibacterial activity of isolates from ethanol extract of Noni fruits to meat decaying bacteria that are Bacillus licheniformis, Klebsiella pneumonia, Bacillus alvei, Acinetobacter calcoaceticus and Staphylococcus saprophyticus. The maceration method was used for the extraction and then continued by partition using centrifugation of ethyl acetate. Soluble parts of the partition showed strong to very strong level of inhibition activity to the growth of bacteria. Furthermore, soluble parts of ethyl acetate partition were tested on PTLC (Preparative Thin Layer Chromatography) produced five isolates. The isolates obtained thus were tested for antibacterial activity with concentration of 20% and 30%. The results showed that isolate A could not inhibit the growth of bacteria, isolates B and C had medium until strong level inhibition activity and isolates D and E had medium level inhibition activity. MIC (Minimum Inhibitory Concentration) and MBC (Minimum Bactericidal Concentration) results showed that the isolate B had an inhibitory effect against all bacteria. Compound analysis were tested using TLC with the reagents of cerium (IV) sulfate indicated a phenolic group. The results of this research showed that isolate B contained a major compound that can be applied as an antibacterial candidate in food preservation replacing chemical preservatives.
