Abstract
This study aims to determine a clear picture of: (1) The national standard school program (SSN) in SMP Negeri 2 Jatisrono based on Content Standards, Competency Standards Graduates, Standard Process, Educator Standards and Education Personnel, Equipment Standards, Standard Management, Standard Financing, and Valuation Standards, (2) Constraints and how to overcome in implementing the national standard school program (SSN), (3) The extent to which national standards the school program (SSN) improve the quality of education. Research carried out in SMP Negeri 2 Jatisrono Wonogiri in school year 2010/2011. The research approach used was qualitative descriptive approach. Sources of data obtained from three sources: events, informants, and documents. Data collection techniques: observation participate, in-depth interviews and document analysis. Sampling using purposive sampling with samples technique. The validity of data using triangulation and informant review. The results were analyzed using an interactive model analysis techniques: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and draw conclusions. Research findings in SMP Negeri 2 Jatisrono Wonogiri can be concluded: (1) The national standard school program (SSN) in SMP Negeri 2 Jatisrono performing well in accordance with 8 national education standards (SNP) covering the content standards, competency standards, standards processes, standards, educators and education personnel, infrastructure standards, management standards, standards of financing, and valuation standards. (2) Obstacles encountered can be resolved with good management skills by the school. (3) Implementation of a national standard school program (SSN) in SMP Negeri 2 Jatisrono can improve the quality of education, marked with an increase in ranking schools in the district are getting better. 2007/2008 school year 18th rank of districts level, 16th rank of district level in 2008/2009, and 14th rank of district level from 75 Junior High School in 2009/2010. Average value acquisition of the national exam (UN) also increased, in 2007/2008 school year amounted to 7.22, 2008/2009 amounted to 7.53, and 2009/2010 amaunted to 7.57.
