    Technical design of hydraulic structure always requires information on flood discharge occurring in the river on which the structure planned. Such information is obtained by finding out the elevation of floodwater surface in certain period, and then be analyzed becoming the flood discharge by means of with “rating curve” was defined. The elevation of water surface recording can be seen on the Automatic Water Level Recorder (AWLR). The problem arising is that not every river/location has AWLR including River Dengkeng where the study conducted. This research aims to predict the size of flood discharge in locations that have no AWLR. In River Dengkeng some weirs has been constructed functioning to increase the river’s water surface for watering the farms surrounding, in addition to affect the soil water fulfillment around the river location consistent with the mechanism of water conservation. The research method employed was a descriptive quantitative one. In order to obtain the flow hydrograph, A Rain-Flow Model was used with Rational and Grid System method, whereas the flood-routing model employed was Muskingum-Cunge and O’Donnel model. In order to find out the effect of long storage on water conservation, the study was conducted on field observation. The result of research shows that both methods above can be used to determine the flood hydrograph, when in one location there is not any AWLR. The difference of calculation analysis result and the field observation on both discharge and water volume ranges from 0.57% to 17%. The influence of weir for water conservation is detected from the level of population’s well water surface in dry season. Keywords: Rational, Grid System, Muskingum-Cunge, O’Donnel, Weir.
