    This research purposes to find out the kedhaton language form and its relationship between locutor and interlocutor, to identify if the kedhaton language also recognizes speaking levels and their markers, to describe the lexicon, morphology, and syntax markers in kedhaton language, to find out the differences between kedhaton and new Javanesse language, and to find out the function of kedhaton language use. The research also purposes to find out if the commanding language to the palace soldiers in included as kedhaton language. This research belongs to case studies (qualitative) that take location in Surakarta Hadiningrat palace. The data is use of kedhaton language in official palace ceremonials. The data is grouped into written and spoken data. The data collection is done with listening and speaking method. The research uses data triangulation technique and triangulation theoretical to validate the data. The data analysis uses structural and contextual analysis. The research results show that the kedhaton language forms are affected by the vertical relation of locutor and interlocutor. The kedhaton language recognizes the speech levels. There are ngoko and karma markers in kedhaton language. Besides, there are also lexicon, morphology, and syntax markers that characterize the kedhaton language. The differences of using the kedhaton and Javanesse language are on the building lexicon, usesrs, time, and place of using the languages. Beside, the kedhaton language use has some cultural functions.
