PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STUDENT TEAMS ACHIEVEMENT DIVISIONS (STAD) BERBANTUAAN ANIMASI FLASH UNTUK MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR DAN KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF SISWA. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah meningkatnya aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas VII.B SMP Negeri 10 Surakarta tahun ajaran 2010/2011 dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) berbantuan animasi flash pada materi Gerak. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research) dengan model Kurt Lewin dan model Kolaboratif yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Setiap siklus diawali tahap persiapan kemudian dilanjutkan tahap pelaksanaan, tahap pengamatan dan tahap refleksi. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII.B SMP Negeri 10 Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2010/2011 sebanyak 36 siswa dengan penelitian dikhususkan pada materi Gerak. Data diperoleh melalui pengamatan, wawancara dan diskusi dengan guru, observer dan siswa, pre-test & post-test, catatan observer, kamera & handycam dan kajian dokumen. Data-data dari hasil penelitian diolah dan dianalisis secara kualitatif yang dilakukan dalam tiga komponen yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) berbantuan animasi flash dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dan kemampuan kognitif siswa pada materi Gerak kelas VII.B SMP Negeri 10 Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2010/2011. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil pengamatan aktivitas belajar pada tiap siklus. Dari indikator aktivitas yang ditentukan terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar positif tiap siklus, dari 72,43% di siklus I menjadi 84,23% di siklus II dan 89,75% di siklus III. Sedangkan aktivitas belajar negatifnya semakin berkurang commit siklus, yaitu 27,57% di siklus I menjadi 15,77% di siklus II dan 10,25% di siklus III. Kemampuan kognitif siswa juga meningkat dalam setiap siklus dengan peningkatan nilai rata-rata pre-test ke post- test, yakni 58,82 menjadi 88,68 dengan rata-rata gain ternormalisasi 0,73 pada siklus I, 49,00 menjadi 88,68 dengan rata-rata gain ternormalisasi 0,78 pada siklus II dan 50,43 menjadi 77,86 dengan rata-rata gain ternormalisasi 0,55 pada siklus III. THE APPLICATION OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL STUDENT TEAM ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION (STAD) TYPE ASSISTED BY FLASH ANIMATION TO IMPROVE THE STUDENT LEARNING ACTIVITIES AND COGNITIVE ASPECT. Thesis. The aims of this research to improve the students learning activity and cognitive aspect by using cooperatif learning model Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) type assisted by flash animation media in VIIB class of SMP 10 Surakarta at academic year 2010/ 2011 on subject matter “Motion”. This research is a classroom action research with kurt lewin and collaborative model that was held in three cycles. The cycles were started by preparation phase then were continued by implementation phase, observation phase and reflection phase.. The research subject is the student of VII.B of smp 10 surakarta at academic year of 2010/2011, which is consist of 36 studentsand the research was specialized on motion chapter. The data was collected through observation, interview and discusion with the teacher, observer and the student, the result of pretest and post-test, observer notes, documentation using camera and handycam and referrence document. The datas of research result were processed and analized qualitatively into three component,they were reduction data, reserving data and making conclution. Based on result of research, it can be concluded that The application using cooperatif learning model Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) type assisted by flash animation media can improve the student learning activities on subject matter Motion at VIIB class of SMP 10 Surakarta of academic year 2010/2011. It can be seen from the observation result of learning activities each cycle. Based on the indicators of activities which have been determined,its occured incresing of positif learning activities each cycle, from 72.43% in cycle I become 84.23% in cycle II and 89.75% in cycle III. While the negatif learning activities more decrese in each cycle, they are 27.57% in cycle I become 15,77% in cycle II and 10.25% in cycle III. Student’s cognitif aspect also increase each commit to user cycle with the incresing average point of pre-test to post-test is 58.82 become 88.68 in cycle I with 0.73 of normalized gain, 49.00 become 88.68 with 0.78 of normalized gain in cycle II, and 50.43 become 77.86 with 0.55 of normalized gain in cycle III.
