    Abstract

    The aims of this research is to know the positive impact of alphabet 8 as medium learning of writing and reading to the increasing of writing and reading ability in Indonesian language study for down syndrome child. This research uses the experiment action research method in three cycles. The subject on this research are six pupils of sixth grade of SLB – C Setya Darma Surakarta in the year 2009/2010. The technique in collecting data of the dysgraphia and dyslexia variable used oral test. The data analytical used analysis qualitative descriptive. The result of this research shows that alphabet 8 affected positively in overcoming dysgraphia and dyslexia down syndrom of sixth grade of SLB – C Setya Darma Surakarta in the year 2009/2010.
