    Abstract

    This research is about “The Relationship between Job Training and Work Motivation on the Employees’ Work Productivity in PT. Bengawan Abadi Motor (NASMOCO) Surakarta”. The problems of research are (1) whether there is or not the relationship between the job training and the employees’ work productivity, (2) whether there is or not the relationship between the work motivation and the employees’ work productivity, (3) which one having the closest relations to the employee’ work productivity, job training or work productivity. Meanwhile, the objectives of research are (1) to find out the relationship between the job training and the employees’ work productivity, (2) to find out the relationship between the work motivation and the employees’ work productivity, (3) to find out the relations of both variables with the closest influence on the employees’ work productivity. This research was done by the employees of PT. Bengawan Abadi Motor (NASMOCO) Surakarta. The data analysis was done using Chisquare test. The Chi-Square test was used to validate the relations of the job training and the employees’ work productivity. The result of discussion analysis shows that the effect of job training and work motivation on the PT. Bengawan Abadi Motor (NASMOCO) Surakarta in answering the questions given to the respondent consists of three categories. Generally, the job training and work motivation does not correlate with the work productivity. Meanwhile, the result of calculation using Chi-Square is the job training with the superior’s assessment of 8.150, assessment based on company’s data of 5.479, motivation based on the superior’s assessment of 2.769, and motivation based on company’s data of 3.333. The final conclusion of research is that the job training and work motivation does not correlate with the work productivity, and there is no variable with the close relation to the work productivity. The recommendation given is that the job training and work motivation should be improved consistently.
