    Abstract

    Research is conducted at Kepuh vilage, Nguter district, Sukoharjo resident. The aim of this research were to know the effect of manure and B1 vitamin start on the yield and β-carotene contained in the red callix of rosella plant. In this research rosella plant treated with cattle manure, goat manure, poultry manure, and without B1 Vitamin Start, 1 ml/lt, 2 ml/lt, 3 ml/lt concentration of B1 Vitamin Start respectively. The observed plant populations were determined by purposive methode which occured in any plot that has been treated with treatment combinations between Manure and B1 Vitamin Start, whereas plant samples determined by random simple methode which can explain its population. The statistical analysis used in this research were analysis of variance (F-test) or Kruskal Wallis test to know the effect of treatment; Analysis of mean, to know the difference between main and interaction effect on its dependent variable; Stepwise regression test, to know which independent variable can explain the variation value of the dependent variable; Simple linier regression test, to estimate the highest value obtained by dependent variable. From the result of research can be concluded that : 1) Treatments manure, B1 Vitamin Start, and interaction between manure and B1 Vitamin Start increased the yield of crown rosella plant, but B1 Vitamin Start predominant determine. 2). The highest red callix yields obtained by treatment B1 Vitamin Start concentration 3 ml/l. 3). Manure and B1 Vitamin Start can’t increase β-carotene of crown of rosella plant.
