    Abstract

    The aims of the research are: (1) to investigate whether type STAD cooperative learning model with individual exercise structurly given mathematics student s achievement better than using the direct learning model achievement in the sub matter of the rules of sinus and cosinus. (2) whether students with higher logic mathematic intelligence have better achievement than students with lower logic mathematic intelligence achievement in the sub matter of the rules of sinus and cosinus. (3) to find out whether there is interaction between the use of learning model and student s logic mathematic intelligence level on the mathematics learning achievement in the sub matter of the rules of sinus and cosinus. The research uses quasi experimental method. The population of the research is all of the eleventh grade students of SMA N (State Senior High School) 5 Surakarta of school year 2010/2011. The sample used in the research is taken with cluster random sampling technique, consisting of two classes, one class is an experiment class and the other is a control class. The techniques of collecting data used are documentation and the test. The trial run of instrument is conducted in SMA (State Senior High School) Al Islam 1 Surakarta. The equilibrium test with t-test is conducted as research requirement. The technique of data analysis used is two-line variance analysis through normality test using Liliefors method and homogenity test using Bartlett method as requirement test of data analysis.
