    Abstract

    Correspondence Processing in an office is the most important because without letters, organizational activities can not be done or halt on its activities. Correspondence processing is different between organizations. Therefore, the author takes the title “ Correspondence Processing Procedure in Administration Departement of Perum Bulog Sub-Divre III Surakarta”. The objective of this Final Assignment is to know how the correspondence procedure related with entering and exiting letters processing procedure and to develop an insignt in correspondency. In holding the observation, the author uses descriptive qualitative observation type, that is the observation aimed to in-depthly describe, expose, suggest, and analyze existing data. Data sources in this observation are informan and document or archive to support the writing. Data collection technique used by direct observation, interview, documentation and literature study. Conclusion from the observation result held by the author in Administration Departement of Perum Bulog Sub-Divre III Surakarta is as the following : processing procedure on entering letters is the entering letter accepted by the officer or agendary then being assorted, opened and checked on the correctness on the originination and designation, then entering to agenda into agenda book. After the agenda, the letters immediately conveyed to the Head/ Chief of Sub-Departement enclosed with the introductory/ disposition sheet. After disposition, the letters are sent back to agendary for follow up. The procedures of exiting letters is the exiting letters must be made first on the concept by each department, then the concept signed by the Head of Departement to obtain approval. Afterwards, the concept submitted to the Head Of Office to be signed as the caretaker in the letters. After signed, then the letters sent to the agendary to be noted in exiting letters agenda book to be numbered according to the order, stamped and entered to an envelope. On the envelope, there is designation addres added then distributed to messenger by write it down in exepedition book. Unforgetably, agendary is also keep the exiting letters as document.
