Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mngetahui motivasi dan persepsi mahasiwa terhadap profesi bidan dan kaitannya dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Konsep Kebidanan. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan rancangan case study. Pendekatan kualitatif dimaksudkan karena dalam penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi dalam upaya mengembangkan konsep-konsep yang membantu pemahaman lebih mendalam atas fenomena sosial dan perilaku dalam setting ilmiah dan pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai kompleksitas yang ada dalam interaksi manusia Dari hasil survey awal pada mahasiswa semester II kemudian dilakukan wawancara mendalam pada 8 informan yang dilihat dari persepsi profesi bidan, motivasi bidan, prestasi belajar mata ajar Konsep Kebidanan, kesimpulan penelitian adanya kaitan prestasi belajar pada mata ajar Konsep Kebidanan dengan persepsi terhadap profesi bidan serta motivasi menjadi bidan. Yani Yogyakarta is expected can support an attempt of achieving the people’s optimum health degree. Many factors affect the learning successfulness, such as student motivation and perception. Motivation and perception is very important to avoid the students from failure. It can also improve the students’ learning achievement in passing education. The objective of research is to find out the students’ motivation and perception on Midwifery Concept Course. This study belongs to a qualitative research using case study design. The qualitative approach is used because this research aims to explore the attempt of developing concepts helping the deeper understanding on the social and behavior phenomena in scientific setting and better understanding on the complexity existing in human interaction. From the result of questionnaire distribution in semester II and then an in- depth interview was done with 8 informants viewed from the perception on midwife profession, midwife enrollment motivation, learning achievement of midwifery concept course. The conclusion of research is there is a relationship between the learning achievement of midwifery concept and the perception on midwife profession perception with the motivation to be a midwife. But, there is motivation and perception with less good learning achievement. Keywords: motivation and perception as well as achievement.
