    Abstract

    The purpose of this study is to Generate Project Based Learning (PjBL) Learning Models by Utilizing Local Potential in Learning High School Biotechnology Materials This study uses Research & Development (R & D), which is a study aimed at designing and developing a quality new product or model, in the form of an engineering process from a series of elements arranged together to produce a particular product, and testing the effectiveness of the product through development procedures with steps: a) needs analysis b) development of prototypes and devices c) validation of draft models by experts and practitioners, d). draft revised model, e) limited trial, f) revision g) test wider draft model, and h). refinement of model draft. i). test the effectiveness, the purpose of this development 1. Describe the implementation of high school biology class XII science learning in Klaten Regency, 2. Produce systematic steps in Project Based Learning (PjBL) Learning Model by utilizing local potential in high school biotechnology material, 2. 3. Test the level of validity and quality of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on SMA material, 4. knowing the effectiveness of the PjBL learning model by utilizing local potential in high school biotechnology material. The results of the limited field tests were conducted at Klaten 1 Public High School, the results of which were good criteria so that they could be applied to test operational fields for a wide scale. conducted in three secondary schools with 119 students namely SMAN 1 Klaten, SMAN Karanganom and and SMA N 1 Jogonalan Klaten, trials at SMA 1 Klaten showed an increase in the average learning outcomes at pretensions 73, 71, and at post 81, 31, gain or increase of 0.315 is included in the medium category. The trials at Karanganom 1 High School showed an increase in the average learning outcomes at pretest of 75.76 and posttest 85.62, Gain or increase of 0.406 including the medium category. Trials at Jogonalan N 1 High School, produced an average learning outcome at pretest of 70.54 and posttest of 82.36, Gain or increase of 0.401. Based on the increase that occurred in all broad trial groups of Project Based Learning learning models by utilizing Local Potential to improve Achievement in Biology learning, it shows that the Project Based Learning learning model by utilizing Local Potential in Biology learning is proven to improve student learning outcomes.
