    Abstract

    Critical thinking ability is important in learning mathematics. No module has been developed related to critical thinking ability. This development research aims to obtain a mathematics module based on Predict-Discuss-Explain-ObserveDiscuss-Explain (PDEODE) on the topic of linear program valid, practical, effective and efficacious to improve high school class XI students’ mathematical critical thinking ability in Jepara Regency. The population in this study were high school class XI students in Jepara Regency, then sampled using stratified cluster random sampling technique. The development research procedure consists of preliminary phase, development phase and test phase. In preliminary phase consists of needs analysis and literacy studies. In development phase consists of theoretical development, prototype development, and expert validation. These developments refer to the ADDIE development model which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Theoretical development aims to produce a mathematics module based on PDEODE design on the topic of linear program. Module is arranged systematically, with the LKPD component referring to the syntax of the PDEODE learning model. Activity in prototype development phase is compiling the initial draft module. A mathematics module based on PDEODE is a printing media with A4 size (210x297)mm and adapted to topic of linear program. The initial draft the module is validated by material experts and media experts. Evaluation of module validity from material experts and media experts obtained scores of 4.13 and 4.03 respectively with valid category intervals of 3,40 ≤
