    Abstract

    THE CORRELATION BETWEEN MOTIVATION AND SATISFACTION IN ACCESSING YOUTUBE CHANNEL (Correlation Study of Uses, Gratification and Media Usage in Watching Videography Tutorials on the Goenrock’s YouTube Channel among KINEKLUB FISIP UNS Members from 2014-2017) Fransiskus Widhanto Aryanto Budhy Sulihyantoro Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Politik Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta Abstract This research is motivated by the high level of social media users in Indonesia, especially YouTube, which is dominated by audiences with calculations of 18 to 24 years like students. The emergence of YouTube as a user generated content makes people free to express themselves and compete to create content that can captivate their audience, such as videography tutorial content. This encourages writers to find out how far the relationship between motivation to watch videography tutorials with usage patterns on the Goenrock’s YouTube channel, relationship of usage patterns with satisfaction watching videography tutorials on the Goenrock’s YouTube channel, the relationship between motivation and satisfaction watching videography tutorials on the Goenrock’s YouTube channel, and the relationship of motivation with satisfaction in watching videography tutorials on the Goenrock’s YouTube channel if the media usage pattern variable is controlled. The research method was conducted by survey method through a questionnaire. The study population was members of the 2014 to 2017 FISIP UNS Kineklub FISIP, using a simple random sample of 54 respondents. This type of research is correlational research. The research theory uses Use and Gratification. So to prove this hypothesis testing is needed by using the Kendall Partial Rank Correlation formula using SPSS 23. The results showed that all hypotheses had a significant relationship. This is indicated by a positive coefficient of t count that greater than the t table with a significance level of 95%.
