    Abstract

    Abwatie Al Khakim. S041608001. Development of Kenali Ajak Interaksi (KAI) Learning Model of Children with Autism for Teachers and Regular Children in Inclusive School. Special Education, Graduate Program, Sebelas Maret University. 2018. ABSTRACT The study aims to determine: (1) the initial state of social interaction of children with autism, (2) the initial knowledge of special educators from non-Special Education degree about the social interaction of children with autism, (3) the initial knowledge of regular children about the social interaction of children with autism, (4) the feasibility of Kenali Ajak Interaksi learning model, and (5) the effectiveness of using Kenali Ajak Interaksi learning model. This study used the Research and Development (R & D) method. The subjects of this study were children with autism, special educators from non-Special Education degree, and regular children in inclusive schools. The products of Kenali Ajak Interaksi learning model of children with autism were 1 book for teachers and 1 book for students that has been validated by 6 experts and 2 practitioners. The effectiveness test used one group pretest-posttest design. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: (1) the social interaction of children with autism is low, (2) the initial knowledge of special educators from non-Special Education degree about the social interaction of children with autism is low, (3) the initial knowledge of regular children about the social interaction of children with autism is low, (4) kenali ajak interaksi learning model of children with autism in the form of books can be used for special educators from non-Special Education degree and regular children, (3) kenali ajak interaksi learning model of children with autism which developed effectively can improve the knowledge of teachers and regular children about the social interaction of children with autism in inclusive schools.
