ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : 1) potensi obyek wisata Danau Lait di kecamatan Tayan Hilir sebagai kawasan pariwisata, 2) modal sosial dan pengaruh terhadap masyarakat Tayan Hilir di kawasan wisata Danau Lait, 3) bentuk – bentuk partisipasi masyarakat Tayan Hilir terhadap pengembangan pariwisata berbasis masyarakat di Danau Lait, 4) pengembangan wisata Danau Lait berbasis masyarakat dik kecamatan Tayan Hilir dan 5) Implementasi penelitian di dalam pembelajaran geografi di SMA N 1 Tayan Hilir. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling jumlah sampel 24 jiwa, teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi dengan teknik analisis data mengunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 1) Potensi yang ada di wisata Danau Lait atraksi : Pulau Ambos, Songe, Penyoak, Nyetnyet, Lambung dan Pohon Tungal, aksesbilitas menuju Danau Lait dapat ditempuh melalui jalur darat dengan kendaraan seperti sepeda motor dan amanitas : penginapan, toilet umum dan beberapa tempat sampah.2) modal sosial segi jaringan antara masyarakat dengan pemerintah terciptannya kelompok sadar wisata (pokdarwis), kepercayaan di wisata Danau Lait cukup tinggi hal ini dibuktikannya saling percayanya antara masyarakat dengan pihak desa dan sebaliknya, serta norma dan nilai di wisata Danau Lait sangat di junjung tinggi oleh masyarakat dan pengunjung wisata Danau Lait hal ini sejalan dengan hukum adat dayak Banyuke yang dimusyawarahkan secara bersama – sama. 3) penjaga pintu masuk, petugas parkir, petugas keamanan Danau, kerja bakti, usaha rumah makan dan kios kecil-kecilan yang menjual makanan dan minuman ringan, 4) bedasarkan analisis SWOT titik potong (0,25:0,30) pada kuadran 1 yang artinya Danau Lait dalam kondisi prima dan dapat terus dikembangkan. 5) Implementasi dikembangkan dengan Modul atau bahan ajar siswa/I SMA kelas XI pada materi Kearifan Lokal dan Pemanfaatan Sumber Daya Alam. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine (1) development of Lake Lait tourism object at TayanHilir as a tourism area, (2) social capital of TayanHilir community in a tourism area, 3) impacts of social capital towards the development of community-based tourism of Lake Lait,4) forms of Tayan Hilir community participation towards the development of community-based tourism of Lake Lait, 5) implementation of the study in the learning of Geography at SMA N 1 TayanHilir. The study is a descriptive qualitative research using purposive Sampling as sample collection technique with the sample number of 24 people. Data collection techniques of the study are interview, observation, also documentation and information of the informants, while data analysis technique used is Descriptive analysis. Results of the study show that 1) Lake Lait is one of rain-fed lakes which was used to be functioned only as a dam for fields and plantation irrigation but, as time goes by, it appears that the fields are often inundated which then causes a Lake tourism potential; hence, Pontianak City government did research on water discharge of Lake Lait, then it was officially announced as Lake Lait Tourism and publicly opened in 1991. 2) The social capital in term of networking at Lake Lait tourism village is very good and kinship-based; the people help each other in cleaning the tourism area of Lake Lait and keeping it secure. Additionally, the social capital in term of reliance is quite high; this is proven by the community who rely on the officials, and the other way around. Furthermore,the social capital in term of norm and value is strongly upheld by the community as well as the visitors of Lake Lait tourism; this is in line with the customary law of dayakBanyuke which is discussed together. 3) The community is directly involved in the stages of planning, problem-identification of Lake Lait, objective-formulation of Lake Lait, and decision-making. Meanwhile, in the implementation, 4) community participation as follows: entrance attendants, parking attendants, Lake security officers, consecration workers, restaurant businesses and small kiosks selling soft foods and beverages. 5) The implementation is developed by using Module or students’ learning material of XI grade of highschool in the material of Local Wisdom and Natural Resource Management.
