    Abstract

    ABSTRACT ASIF AL CHARISH, R.0214021, 2018. Relation of Plumbum Levels in Blood with Physical Work Fatigue in Metal Casting Workers CV Bonjor Jaya Klaten, Diploma 4 Occupational Safety and Health Faculty of Medicine Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. Background : Plumbum is one of the heavy metals originating from metal casting which has very dangerous properties because it has can’t decomposed properties and easily absorbed. The Effect of plumbum that enters the body will inhibit the synthesis of hemoglobin which disrupts the process of energy formation. Plumbum that enters the blood will result in accumulation of lactic acid production and a decrease in energy production which causes fatigue. This study aims to determine the relationship of plumbum (Pb) levels in blood with physical work fatigue in metal casting worker CV Bonjor Jaya Klaten. Methods : The type of research used was analytic observational research using Cross Sectional research design using saturated sampling technique. Respondens were taken from metal casting worker at CV Bonjor Jaya Klaten totaling 35 respondents. Measurement of plumbum in blood using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) KIMIA UNS Laboratory, while work fatigue using Lakassidaya L77 reaction timer. Data processing and analysis techniques using Pearson correlation, and correlation statistical tests using SPSS version 22 program. Results : The results of the study of 35 respondents studied showed an average blood plumbum level of 41.59 µg/dL. There were 51,43% respondents who had plumbum level in blood more than NAB . The average work fatigue in the respondent is 377.14, which shows the value of work fatigue in the category of light work fatigue. The test results using Pearson correlation showed a significant correlation with the value of p value = 0,000 and r = 0,590 with the correlation direction value + (positive) and the strength of the correlation between two variabels is medium. Conclusion : There was a significant and positive relationship between plumbum levels in the blood with physical fatigue in the metal casting worker CV Bonjor Jaya Klaten. This means that the hingger the level of plumbum in the blood, then the higger the level physical work fatigue. Keywords : plumbum levels in the blood, physival work fatigue, metal casting worker.
