The Improvement of Writing Skill of Poetry through Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Model ( Classroom Action Research on The Fifth Grade Students of Karangasem III No 181 State Primary School Surakarta at 2017/2018 Academic Year. Minithesis, Surakarta: Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University, July 2018. The purpose of the research is improve the writing skill of poetry by applying Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model on the fifth grade of Karangasem III No 181 State Primary School Surakrta at 2017/2018 academic year. The type of this research is classroom action reseach (CAR), it consist of two cycles. Each cycles consist of four phases, they are planning, action, observasion, and reflection. The subjects of this research are teacher and students in fifth grade of Karangasem III No 181 State Primary School Surakrta at 2017/2018 academic year consist of 31 students. The data collecting technique are interview, observasion, documentation, and test. The data validity technique are content validity and triangultion methods. The data analysis is interactive analysis model (Miles and Huberman) The result of this research, shows that the application of Coopertive Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model that can improve the writing school of poetry. It can be proved by the increasing of the writing poetry skill for each cycle. The percentage of completness in pre-cycle is 12,9%, increase to 74,2% in first cycle, and increase to 87,1 in second cycle. The conclusion of the research is applying Coopertive Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model can improve the writing skill of poetry on the fifth grade of Karangasem III No 181 State Primary School Surakrta at 2017/2018 academic year.
