    ABSTRACT Dyah Nur Rohmah. K3113018. DEVELOPMENT OF CAREER DECISION MAKING MANUAL USING SELF-MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES FOR VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. Thesis, Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, July 2018. This study aims to (1) describe the level of need and importance to the development of career decision making service guidance, (2) to describe the study of theories about career decision making using self-management techniques, (3) to produce prototype-1 Career Decision Making Service Guide Using Technique Self-Management on Vocational School Participants. The research method used was research and development with the design of Borg and Gall. This research stage only until pre-development stage that was making of product. Collection of data obtained by using questionnaires the level of needs and interests of learners. The subjects of this study were students of senior high school in Surakarta Residency. Data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and literature study. The results of this study are as follows. First, there are needs and interests of learners on the development of career decisions by learners, parents, and guidance and counseling teachers based on the results of theoretical studies and emperical studies. The result of the theoretical study on career decision making includes the definition of career decision making, aspects of career decision making factors that influence career decision making, career decision-making steps and how to improve career decision making, self-management sense, aspects of self -management, self-management measures, and self-management excellence. While the results of empirical studies show as much as 56.47% is needed and as much as 38.61% feel very important to career decision-making skills based on students, parents, and guidance and counseling teachers. Secondly, based on empirical study and theoretical study, it is necessary to develop products in the form of Career Decision Making Service Manual Using Self-Management Technique in Vocational School Students. The manual is still in prototype-1 form, so it still needs to be tested for validity, practicality test, and effectiveness test.
