    Abstract

    ABSTRACT Ayu Putri Santoso. THE EFFECT OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING TOWARDS STUDENTS ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT BASED ON THE STUDENTS LEARNING ACTIVITY OF CLASS XII SMK NEGERI 3 SUKOHARJO IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2017/2018. Thesis. Surakarta: Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Sebelas Maret University Surakarta, Mei. 2018. The purposes of this research were to test: 1) the differences of academic achievement between students in Teams-Game-Tournament (TGT) and Jigsaw on manufacture adjustment journal; 2) the differences of academic achievement based on learning activity; and 3) the interaction effect between cooperative learning (TGT and Jigsaw) and learning activity towards academic achievement on manufacture adjustment journal. This research is quasi experimental. Its population was students of Accounting Expertise Department SMK Negeri 3 Sukoharjo the academic year 2017/2018. The data was taken using purposive sampling technique. Questionnaire and observation were used to collect data of the learning activity and test was used to collect academic achievement data. Those data were analyzed with t-test, one way Anova and two way Anova test with level of significance 0,05. The results showed that: 1) there are differences of academic achievement between students in TGT and Jigsaw class on manufacture adjustment journal, it is shown by Sig.<0,05 (0,007<0,05). The students taught with TGT model had better achievement than Jigsaw model; 2) there are differences of academic achievement based on learning activity, shown by Sig.<0,05 (0,000<0,05). Active students had better achievement and less active student had lower achievement; 3) there is interaction effect between cooperative learning (TGT and Jigsaw) and learning activity toward academic achievement on manufacture adjustment journal, shown by Sig.<0,05 (0,044<0,05). Thus, the TGT model can be applied on manufacture adjustment journal.
