    Abstract

    ABSTRACT THE CORRELATION BETWEEN INTERLEUKIN 10 1082G/A GENE POLIMORPHISM WITH NEPHROTOXICITY SECONDARY TO ANTI TUBERCULOSIS TREATMENT IN MULTI DRUG RESISTANT TUBERCULOSIS PATIENTS Umarudin Introduction: Tuberculosis controlling programme has become more complex with MDR-TB problem. IL-10 1082G/A gene polimorphism correlates with IL-10 secretion as anti inflammatory cytokine which plays important role in pathogenesis MDR-TB infection. The management of MDR-TB that using aminoglicoside causing nephrotoxic effect to the patients. The protective role of IL-10 from IL-10 1082 G/A genotype to nephrotoxic effect due to canamycin still becomes a prolem nowadays. Methods: This was a retrspective cohort study of MDR-TB patients who underwent treatment in Dr. Moewardi hospital IN 2011-2015. Results: There were 89 MDR-TB patients with IL-10 1082 G/A genotype polimorphism included in this study. The proportions of IL-10 1082 G/A genotype were AA genotype 13.48%, GG 4.49%, and GA 82.2%. GG genotype had 2.898 times higher risk for nephrotoxicity than GA and AA genotype with p=0.033 (p<0,05). Interleukin 10 1082 G/A gene polymorphism had no significant correlation with nephrotoxicity onset in MDR-TB patients in Dr. Moewardi hospital. The statistical analysis revealed that the prevalence rate differences in three groups were significant (p=0.044; p<0.05). The p value 0.044<0.05 meaning there was a significant correlation between IL-10 1082 G/A gene polimorphism with nephrotoxic onset in MDR-TB patients in Dr. Moewardi hospital. Conclusions: Interleukin 10 1082 G/A gene polimorphism had positive correlation with protection to canamycin injection nephrotoxicity in MDR-TB treatment. The onset of nephrotoxicity in IL-10 1082G/A gene polymporphism was faster than GA and AA genotype. Key words: MDR-TB, IL-10 1082 G/A genotype polimorphism, nephrotoxicity.
