    Abstract

    ABSTRAK Amalia Ulfah. PENERAPAN TEORI CRITICAL THINKINGDALAM PEMBELAJARANSEKOLAH DASAR FILIPINA (STUDI KASUS DI LABORATORY INTEGRATED SCHOOL - ELEMENTARY DEPARTEMENT PANGASINAN STATE UNIVERSITY, FILIPINA) . Skripsi. Surakarta: Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan. Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta, Juli 2018. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan teori critical thinking di sekolah dasar Filipina (studi kasus di Laboratory Integrated School-Elementary Departement Pangasinan State University, Filipina). Subjek penelitian ini yaitu guru dan siswa kelas VI LIS-Elementary Departement PSU, Filipina pada bulan Agustus tahun 2017. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan classroom research sehingga hasil bersifat alamiah.. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Validitas data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Data tersebut diolah dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi komponen pendukung pembelajaran, maka dapat dibuat hubungan antara kondisi nyata kegiatan pembelajaran di LIS-Elementary Departement PSU dengan teori critical thinking. Beberapa hal yang dideskripsikan yaitu 1) kebijakan pembelajaran, 2) desain pembelajaran, 3) proses pembelajaran, 4) metode guru dalam mengajar, dan 5) interaksi siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Lima aspek tersebut memenuhi komponen critical thinking yaitu berbasis masalah, analisis masalah, argumentatif, dan latihan membuat keputusan dan juga memenuhi indikator FRISCO (focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity, overview). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa LIS-Elementary Departement PSU, Filipina menerapkan teori critical thinking pada sistem pembelajarannya. IMPLEMENTATION OF CRITICAL THINKINGTHEORY IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LEARNING IN THE PHILIPPINES (CASE STUDY IN LABORATORY INTEGRATED SCHOOL - ELEMENTARY DEPARTEMENT PANGASINAN STATE UNIVERSITY, PHILIPPINES). The research aim was to describe the implementation of critical thinking concept in elementary school Philippines (case study in Laboratory Integrated School-Elementary Departement Pangasinan State University, Philippines). The research subjects were a teacher and students of grade sixth LIS-Elementary Departement PSU, Philippines at August 2018. The type of the research was classroom research which means that the data based on the natural condition. The data was collected by observation, interview, and documentation study. The data was validated by using source triangulation and technique triangulation. All of the data were processed by qualitative descriptive approach. Based on observation, interview, and documentation study on the learning component, seen that there was a relationship between the reallity of lesson activities in LIS-Elementary Departement PSU with critical thinking concept. Some of component were described are 1) learning policy, 2) learning design, 3) learning process, 4) teacher method, and 5) the interaction of the students in learning process. All those component fulfill the component of criitcal thinking such as based on problems, problems analitic, argumentative, and making decision and fulfill indicator FRISCO (focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity, overview). It can be concluded that LIS-Elementary Departement PSU, Philippines apply critical thinking concept in their learning system. Keywords:critical thinking, elementary school
