    Abstract

    Muslikhah. S830908128. “Learning of Biology Using STAD Model with Printed Media (LKS) and Video Reviewed from Thinking Style and Student Social Interaction (An Experimental Research on Ecology Grade VII Semester II SMP Negeri 3 Polanharjo Klaten Academic Year 2008/2009)”. Thesis : Post Graduate Program, The University of Sebelas Maret Surakarta, 2009. The aims of this research are to find : (1) the different of learning achievement between students who using printed media (LKS) and those who using video media; (2) the different of learning achievement between students which have sequencial thinking style and those who have random thinking style; (3) the different of learning achievement between the students who have high social interaction and those who have low social interaction; (4) interaction between STAD learning model using printed media (LKS) and video with thinking style to learning achievement on biology; (5) interaction between STAD learning model using printed media (LKS) and video with social interaction to learning achievement on biology; (6) interaction between thinking style and social interaction to learning achievement on biology; (7) interaction among variety of learning media, thinking style, and social interaction to learning achievement on biology. This research used experimental method with factorial design 2x2x2. The population is all of the students grade VII of SMP N 3 Polanharjo Klaten. The sample is designed with cluster random sampling technique which consists of two classes, VII-A and VII-C. Class VII-C served as experiment class-A countain 30 students use printed media (LKS) and class VII-A served as experiment class-B countain 31 students use video media. The data collecting uses test and non-test technique. The instrument validity test uses Product- Moment from Karl Pearson and reliability test uses K-R 20, the result is rtt = 0.848398. The hypothesis test of this research uses Anava three ways with unsimilar cell. Hypothesis test of this research also uses the aid of software Minitab 15 series. The further test of Anava uses Sceffe test. The results of this research were : (1) there is no different effect between students who use printed media (LKS) and those who use video media to learning achievement on biology, p-value = 0,694 > 0,050; (2) there is no different effect between students who have sequencial thinking style and those who have random thinking style to learning achievement on biology, p-value = 0,095 > 0,050; (3) students who have high social interaction get higher achievement than those who have low social interaction, p-value = 0,001 < 0,050 ; (4) there is no interaction between the variety of using media with thinking style of student to learning achievement on biology, p-value = 0,536 > 0,050; (5) there is no interaction between the variety of using media with student social interaction level to learning achievement on biology, p-value = 0,376 > 0,050; (6) there is no interaction between thinking style with student social interaction level to learning achievement on biology, p-value = 0,551 > 0,050; dan (7) there is no interaction among the variety of using media, thinking style, and student social interaction level to learning achievement on biology, p-value = 0,411 > 0,050.
